My Go-To Recipe for Digestive Issues

I wanted to share one of my go-to herbal teas for clients, family, and friends seeking relief from digestive troubles.

Here's what you'll need:
- 1 tablespoon orange peel
- 1 tablespoon coriander seeds
- 1 tablespoon fennel seeds
- 8 cups water

Directions: Place herbs and water in a pot, and slowly heat the mixture over medium heat until it reaches a rolling boil. Then, turn down the heat and gently simmer for 15 minutes.

Turn off the heat, cool, and strain using a fine metal strainer, cheesecloth, or coffee filter. Drink 1-3 cups a day between meals.

Store tea in the refrigerator.

So, what makes this tea recipe so special?

  • Orange peel contains compounds that can promote digestion by stimulating the production of digestive enzymes and improving the breakdown of food.

  • Coriander has been traditionally used to ease digestive discomfort, including bloating and gas. It can help stimulate digestion, promote healthy bowel movements, and reduce intestinal spasms.

  • Fennel is commonly used to relieve digestive discomfort, including bloating, gas, and indigestion. It can help relax the muscles of the gastrointestinal tract and reduce intestinal spasms.

If you're unsure how to prepare an herbal tea, here's my How-To video, where I walk you through the process.
